XY Percussion Duo is a talented sibling duo consisting of Xingyao Xue and Xingyue Xue, born into a family with a deep musical heritage. They started their musical journey at the age of four, learning piano and drum set, followed by marimba and percussion at the age of seven. With their passion for music evident from an early age, the duo's education began at the Music Middle School Affiliated with the Shanghai Conservatory of Music at the age of eleven.

The Xue twins' musical excellence led them to the Juilliard Pre-College before they eventually pursued their education at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee and Berklee College of Music. The duo is currently under the guidance of Professor Nancy Zeltsman, a renowned figure in percussion.

The Xue twins have demonstrated their exceptional percussion skills with numerous accolades, including Gold Awards for both solo and duo performances, including the 2019 international marimba competition (Southern California); the 2022 Italy PAS competition; the 2023 Yamaha young artist competition, and recognition as Outstanding Educators in various percussion competitions worldwide.
